In this Level 4.0 (Advanced) String Orchestra arrangement, Martin Lass has arranged his piece, "Jupiter," for string orchestra. "Jupiter" is the finale from his musical dance drama for Broadway or concert stage, "Zodiac - A Love Story Danced Across the Heavens," which tells of the greatest love story ever written - a story spread out across the heavens, mirrored in the changing signs of the zodiac - the story of the eternal soul-mates, separated at the beginning of time and space but destined to come together again at the end.

"Jupiter" is an explosive celebration, full of energy and drive, designed to bring joy and optimism to both player and listener.

The main challenges of this piece are in the rhythms, which are reflected in complex, ever changing time signatures, and, for the violins, in the string crossings tied to these rhythms. The most challenging part belongs to the first violins who take the lead line for most of the piece.
