Here are some quotes from Nikola Tesla showing the great depth of his soul and his enquiry into the nature of the universe and humanity's place in it.

However, before we present these quotes, note that a supposed interview done by journalist, John Smith, for the supposed magazine, Immortality, in the spring of 1988 was not real, even though it has flooded the Internet and is presented as fact. Rather, this supposed interview is a poorly translated excerpt from a play, "Tesla: Or Customisation of an Angel" (meaning, "customisation of Tesla") by Stevan Pešić, a Serbian playwright.

Suffice to say, none of the supposed quotes from this fictional piece are real quotes from Tesla himself. It is the work of a playwright exercising full poetic license.

Tesla and the Swami

Nikola Tesla used ancient Sanskrit terminology in his descriptions of natural phenomena. As early as 1891, Tesla described the universe as a kinetic system filled with energy, which could be harnessed at any location. His concepts during the following years were greatly influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda was the first of a succession of eastern yogi's who brought Vedic philosophy and religion to the west. After meeting the Swami and after continued study of the Eastern view of the mechanisms driving the material world, Tesla began using the Sanskrit words Akasha, Prana, and the concept of a luminiferous ether to describe the source, existence and construction of matter. Summary

So, we can see from these short quotes and commentaries that Tesla was more than just an "electrician"! He understood that there exists in the universe a source of primal energy/consciousness that permeates and gives rise to everything in existence. His technologies were aimed at tapping into this infinite energy/consciousness source for the betterment of humanity, physically and spiritually.
